Welcome a New Tray to Our Collection!
This is a rare occasion when we can share news about a new tray. We gave the manufacturer the green light in January, but pre-production was exceptionally lengthy, primarily due to our high-quality requirements. The process of creating the mold took longer than before. We received the first prototypes one month ago, and production is set to start this week.
Differences
Our new tray is very similar to one you already know well: the Standard Low Tray (8mm depth, 20 compartments). You may recognize the old version from games like Commands & Colors: Napoleonics + Expansions, Red Strike, Empire of the Sun, Combat Commander and many others. The biggest difference is the compartment size; it’s much larger, perfect for bigger counters, including the 16-17mm ones, and even larger like those used in Silent War 2.0. Because of the increased compartment size, this tray has only 15 compartments. The height remains the same, but the lid has a slightly smaller recess, allowing storage for one additional set of counters.

Preorder phase
These trays should be ready by mid-July, at which time you can order them at a 25% discount. After this date, there will be a 20% sale on the new trays until the end of July.
Usability
This tray features the largest compartments among all our offerings. In the same footprint as our standard trays, we have accommodated 15 large compartments. They perfectly store games with numerous counters where is limited space in the game box!
13mm Counters
For the smallest 13mm counters, you can fit 16 at the bottom of each compartment in this tray, totaling 16 * 15 = 240 counters. Additionally, there is room to stack 5 layers of them, resulting in a total of 1200 counters in one tray. In comparison, our standard low tray holds 9 counters per compartment, which totals 9 * 20 = 180 counters. With space for only 4 layers of counters, you can fit a total of 720 counters in the entire tray.

16mm Counters
A similar calculation applies to 16mm counters. You can fit 135 counters in one layer at the bottom of this new tray (compared to 120 counters in our 20-compartment tray). Therefore, the math is: 135 * 5 = 675 counters in the new tray versus only 480 in the old tray.
Large Counters
This tray might also be very efficient for games with larger counters, such as “ Silent War 2.0” We will try to provide more detailed counts soon.
16mm Counters First Test
We already have one success with this new tray’s use. Last Friday, I had to check and photograph our set for Navajo Wars. There were two low trays with 12 compartments, but there was a problem with sleeved cards, especially those protected by thick sleeves; they would not fit enough card holders. So, I updated this to the new tray.
