SlimFit Edition Trays Designed for Avalon Hill Games

We are excited to introduce our new SlimFit trays edition to our catalog. These trays feature the same compartment sizes as our well-known standard trays, but with a significant improvement: the corners of the trays have been minimized. This subtle adjustment allows the trays to fit inside a wide variety of classic Avalon Hill Bookshelf games, including titles where our previous trays were slightly too large.

New Opening System

One side of the tray has been enhanced with a new opening system. This updated mechanism is simpler and more user-friendly, featuring a small reduction in the rim near the tray corner, making it easier to remove the lid. A key improvement, visible in the photos, is that the lid is slightly shorter, ensuring it doesn’t catch on the game box when inserting the trays, thus preventing accidental opening. Some might even find this new design better than the original.

At present, there is no specific set designed exclusively for these trays, but we expect this to change soon. We’ve already received requests for sets tailored to titles such as Third Reich, War & Peace, Guns of August, Panzer Blitz, Squad Leader, and more.

The trays are now available in the following versions:

• Standard Tray: 15mm depth, 20 compartments
• Standard Low Tray: 8mm depth, 20 compartments

The dimensions of the new SlimFit trays are as follows:

• Length (tray & lid): 285 mm (11.22 inches)
• Width (tray & lid): 205 mm (8.07 inches)

As you can see, the size difference is minimal—just 3 mm in length and 7 mm in width—but this adjustment is precisely what’s needed to ensure they fit perfectly inside the classic Avalon Hill Bookshelf games.
