Counter Tray Size Update & What’s Coming Next!

We’ve received wonderful feedback from many of you about our counter trays — thank you all so much!

Now we’d love to share a few small updates and give you a sneak peek at what’s coming next.

Counter Tray Size Update

Thanks to your suggestions and our latest round of testing, we’ve slightly adjusted the tray size. We managed to trim about 2mm from the long edge, which means the trays now fit perfectly into most of Compass and MMP game boxes.

Here’s a quick before-and-after comparison. And yes — no force was used to squeeze them inside game box!

➡️ Old tray size: 293 mm × 216 mm
➡️ New tray size: 291 mm × 216 mm

Please note: box sizes may still vary between publishers (and even between different games from the same publisher), so we always recommend checking the dimensions before ordering.

Old Tray Clearance Sale

We still have a small batch of trays in the older size, and while stock lasts, they’re available at 20% off!
These trays are a perfect fit for GMT boxes, so we’re confident you’ll find the right home for them in your collection.

Supported Games List Coming Soon

We’ve been receiving tons of suggestions and titles from you using our new trays. The list is growing fast — we think it deserves its own article soon! Stay tuned!

New Tray Sizes Incoming!

We’re currently finalizing prototypes for two new trays designed for 13mm and 17mm counters, but in a more compact format — similar in size to our 12-compartment trays.

These will be great for:

  • Games with fewer counters
  • More efficient sorting
  • Combining with our card holders

Bigger Counter Tray Ideas

Many of you have asked for trays that support larger counters — such as 18mm, 20mm, and 25mm.

To make this happen, we’ll need your help! Please send us:

  • Game name
  • Counter size (diameter)
  • Counter thickness

Our current trays are optimized for 1.5mm thick counters, so if larger counters tend to be thicker, we may need to adjust the depth of the compartments accordingly.

Also, let us know:

  • Are there counters larger than 25mm?
  • Is 25mm the maximum we should plan for?

Future Labeling Solution

We’ve come across a really cool idea for adding descriptions or labels to your trays!

It involves using antistatic lamination foil that can be used with:

  • Printed notes
  • Handwritten labels
  • Stickers for compartment descriptions

We’re considering adding this as an accessory in our shop — possibly along with our first description sticker packs. We think this will be especially useful for large games like:

  • Pacific War
  • A World at War
  • World in Flames

Still early-stage, so your feedback here would be super helpful! 😊

More Features Coming Soon

We’re working on even more new ideas — stay tuned for the next update!

Important Note for US Customers:

There was a recent tariff announcement, and at first we were concerned it might affect shipping from the EU. Thankfully, the $800 daily limit for duty-free packages still applies to shipments from most countries — including EU countries — at least for now.

The only exception (for now) is China, where this limit will be removed starting in May.

Below, we will list the counter sizes we have already received, to avoid duplicating games and saving you time.

Red Strike – Token Diameter: 18.5mm x 18.5mm – Token Thickness: 1.5mm – Number of tokens: 2112

Some counters are 1″ (25.4mm) – the Combat! series from Compass, for example.
I’m also interested in your labeling solution for A World at War!

    1. Marcin says:

Thanks! I was thinking how big they are, so it is exactly 1 inch. We need to make the biggest size 25.5mm.

I have a ton of VG (Victory Games) games. Their boxes were slightly smaller than GMT boxes. Any possibility to get those cool trays in a VG size?

    1. Marcin says:

It looks like the VG (Victory Games) boxes are quite similar in size to the Avalon Hill showcase boxes, so we’ll definitely check the possibility of fitting our trays to that format.
One thing that could be important in terms of usability is the thickness of the counters — would you be able to check and let us know? That will help us figure out which tray depth would work best.
