Update: October 14, 2024
We’ve reviewed all our sets again and counted the trays we’ve used. So far, we’ve utilized over 800 different trays across all our sets! Based on this, we did the math to calculate the ideal proportions of trays to include in this Big Set of 12 Trays. The math doesn’t lie, so we made a few small adjustments to the tray proportions.
Summary of Added Trays:
- The most popular is the Standard Low Tray (8mm depth, 20 compartments). The results showed that we should include one more of this type.
- Similarly, the Small Low Tray (8mm depth, 12 compartments) will have one more added to the set.
- The newest tray, Big Compartment Low Tray (9mm depth, 15 compartments), has only been used in a few sets so far, but it’s quickly gaining popularity, so we decided to include one in this set.
Summary of Removed Trays:
- The Standard Tray (15mm depth, 20 compartments) is less popular and was over-represented, so we reduced its number by one.
- The Small Tiles Tray (12mm depth, 25 compartments) is not very useful for wargamers, so we removed it from the set.

After the changes, the set will now include 13 trays, with a total value of $53.74. We’ve decided to keep the price unchanged, so you can purchase it at almost a 10% discount off the regular store price!

This set is simply amazing. With the 12 trays included, I was able to fully organize the following games:
– Empire of the Sun
– Enemy Action: Ardennes
– Colonial Twilight
– Labyrinth
– Salerno ’43
– Space Empires 4x
The 12 compartment trays are perfect for smaller, less counter-dense games like COIN games (Colonial Twilight). The full 15mm depth versions perfectly hold the wooden pieces as well as the cardboard counters with plenty of room for the card trays.
Not a single one of the six games above has a single mm of lid lift with these trays.
The first four games above contain cards, and about 12 of the USA 16mm Card Trays took care of all them, these are a separate product and not included here, but if your games have cards, these are the best way to store them safely and securely.
The genius part is using an 8mm tray as a lid for a 15mm tray and getting a double layer of storage for less space than other trays. In the future, these will be the only trays I ever buy. Highly recommended.
